Why you’ll want to drink this daily through winter

We’re undoubtedly in the thick of winter doom and gloom, whether we’re isolating with increasingly socially unacceptable sniffles, or protecting ourselves against catching them from others. And for those starved of tropical adventures, our SAD moods can feel as dreary as the weather outside.

Having heard previously about the benefits of soluble vitamin Redoxon and its powerhouse ingredients of vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D, we decided to put it to the test.

Ensemble supplied  an ‘ensemble’ of readers Redoxon in exchange for their honest feedback. Product was gifted, but reviewers were not paid (if you’d like the chance to become an Ensemble reviewer, let us know).

Jade, 40. She/her. Teacher and mother to two teenage boys.

I usually skip breakfast and substitute it for a coffee (or two). I am definitely not a health junkie, but aspire to do better when it comes to my health and wellbeing. I’ve definitely been a lot more conscious of my health and in particular boosting my natural immunity to any ills and chills. I’m a teacher, so bugs are around me everyday and just part of my life really.  I'm a bit of a go go go person. My family often tells me to slow down and take a break, it's just not in my nature though. I drink too much coffee, probably eat too much fast food, don't rest enough blah blah blah... I often am exhausted come Wednesday, after a busy start to my week. My body could definitely do with help around my energy levels, other than running to sugar or coffee to 'prop' me up in the afternoons.

What did you think of Redoxon?

Redoxon Immunity orange flavoured tablets are smooth, refreshing and easy to drink on the way to work. The blackcurrant was a sweeter alternative.

Andrew, 27. He/him. Occasional party person, sometimes outdoorsy and sometimes a stay at home hermit.

I don't put too much thought towards my health and don't always eat the best food, but I do stay hydrated. I’ll have the odd big night drinking, and I can lead a sedentary lifestyle at times.

What did you think of Redoxon?

I can definitely feel myself perk up after drinking itasier to get out of bed.

Kathleen, 25. She/her. Typical mid-twenties, busy with work and flatting.

I don’t work out much but try to compensate with a balanced diet. I probably drink too much coffee. Due to having just ended my early twenties I’m increasingly concerned about maintaining good health - I’m feeling my metabolism and energy going way down. Coffee, sedentary office work, insufficient exercise and not enough time under the sun all work against me.

What did you think of Redoxon?

I like the sizzles. Taste is amazing. Personal favourite is the blackcurrant with vitamin D.

Jack, 27. He/him. Time poor young professional.

I don’t take my physical wellbeing seriously enough, but I’m looking for no fuss ways to improve my health and that I can sneak into my normal routine. I don’t think I’m alone in being increasingly aware of the need to protect myself as much as possible from threats to my health over the last couple of years. I don’t get as much exercise as my doctor would recommend - I spend far too much time at my computer, and I definitely choose what I eat and drink for taste rather than health, to my detriment.

What did you think of Redoxon?

I’m all about an easy win and it’s become part of my morning routine to just drop a tablet in some water and know I’m starting my day doing something good for my health. It certainly makes me feel less guilty about the choices I make the rest of the day! I like how the tablet fully dissolves in a normal sized glass of water; you’re not left with dregs in the bottom of the glass or in the last mouthful.

Calder, 30. He/him. A skateboarder/artist who lives in a flat with four others.

I’m reasonably healthy. I cook four healthy meals a week and take supplements each morning. I don't eat breakfast, only lunch and dinner. I’m definitely increasingly interested in improving my overall immunity. Coffee, lack of sleep, vaping and drinking contribute to stress on my body.

What did you think of Redoxon?

It tasted better than other tablet drinks I've tried.

Amanda, 31. She/her. Lives in a flat with three others.

I have a reasonably balanced diet, and probably should work out more, but it's hard in the winter months. I'm definitely more concerned about my health since 2020, I have too much screen time, too much sitting down, and too many late nights.

What did you think of Redoxon?

The effervescent effect is entertaining and it tastes nice. I like the variety beyond the typical orange flavour. I also like how the product has vitamin D as well, which is important for winter!

Redoxon can be found at local retailers including Countdown, New World, Pak N Save, Chemist Warehouse and Life & Unichem Pharmacies. For more information visit redoxon.co.nz
