What Viarni Bright is into right now

It feels like it’s forever summer on Viarni Bright’s Instagram account, which is filled with blue skies, beaches and vibrant colour. Based in the Mount alongside a growing community of fun-focused creatives, Viarni works as the brand manager at The Avo Tree - a fantastic avocado delivery service that we personally adore and genuinely use.

Recently she helped the brand expand into skincare, with a new line launched in November that uses every part of the avocado and combines cold pressed extra virgin avocado oil with other natural ingredients. The initial drop includes the skincare essentials: an exfoliator, eye cream, day cream, night cream, face oil and cleanser.

Unsurprisingly, Viarni loves fruit. On the side she runs a vintage Instagram shop called The Fruit Bowl, and she counts locally made glass fruit ornaments as one of her favourite things right now - alongside products from other local businesses.

Sitting Pretty Design candelabra, $129, from Dandie Store

If I could dream up the perfect store, Dandie in Mt Maunganui would have to be it. Local couple Josh and Rose source Kiwi designers and curate vintage pieces, with a few international brands thrown in there too, for their one-of-a-kind store. I am obsessed with their original candle holders made by Josh – they are a vibe and make for lovely gifts too. Really worth checking them out if you are in town.

Curionoir’s Cellar Feels

A sweet but spicy scent that always makes me feel sexy; whether it's my perfume of the day or burning a candle at night. This is my fave Curio Noir scent by far.

Basically everything from Molly Perkinsons

Each piece is handmade in Mt Maunganui. The silk and linen pieces are crafted to perfection and look fab on everyone. There are so many styles to choose from and each piece is special – they'd make for the perfect new year’s dress or festival outfit. I have many, many pieces!

The Avo Tree exfoliator, $35, and face oil, $50

It would not be a list of my favourite things without The Avo Tree skincare range that has literally just dropped. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been working with The Avo Tree for the last wee-while on an avocado oil-based skincare range and it has fast become a part of my daily routine. My absolute favourite combo is your summer's skin dream duo: a super nourishing pair to exfoliate away dry skin then re-hydrate and repair with the face oil. Divine.

Glass fruit from Devon Made Glass

Devyn Ormsby's beautifully crafted glass fruit pieces have been an obsession of mine for a long time - she is just so damn clever!! Again, ticking all the boxes from New Zealand made to supporting a young creative Kiwi woman. I also just love fruit things. Yass!!
