For the first time in two years we are up to date with our salon appointments and ready to take our locks out and let them down - or tie them up! Whatever the vibe, we are ready to toast to glamorous evenings, enjoyed with utter and sheer abandonment, where half the fun is in the getting ready.

Spoiler: It’s much easier than you think. Read on for the hot tips and tricks.

The High Pony

Blow dry with the ghd Helios Hairdryer, using the ghd Paddle Brush to blow away from the face, this will give your hair shine.
Once dry, apply ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray to give your hair more fullness and texture.
Using the ghd Glide Smoothing Brush pull hair into a ponytail. This brush will smooth hair and eliminate frizz giving you the perfect pony.
Expert stylist tip: Don’t use your hands or fingers to tame flyaways, this will cause friction and more wispy bits. Use the ghd Narrow Dressing Brush, or even the side of your hairspray or product can to flatten flyaways.
Big, Bouncy Waves

Spritz ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray on roots to create volume and add ghd Body Guard Heat Protectant Spray to the rest of the hair.
Blow dry with the ghd Helios Hairdryer and ghd Ceramic Vented Radial Brush size 3, always lifting up the root area with the brush for a fuller look.
Once dry, apply ghd Curly Ever After curl hold spray to give longevity to the curls you’ll be creating in the next step.
Use the ghd Platinum Plus Styler to create your curls. For big loose curls, use bigger sections of hair, for defined curls work in smaller segments.
Always use clean sections; sectioning the hair is really important to ensure no hair is left uncurled, ensuring the best result.
Starting at the back, hold your ghd Platinum Plus Styler horizontally and do a 180 degrees turn and glide the styler down. This will give you a solid curl so when you brush it out you will have a beautiful wave.
Once cool, brush the curls to form waves and give the front ones a gentle tease to give a voluminous full look.
Expert stylist tip: If you have to redo a section, rather than going over and overworking the section to achieve the desired look/curl, let the styled hair cool down first before you attempt it again.
Maximising Defining Curls

For extra curly hair, wash as usual and wrap in a cotton towel or even a big T-shirt to dry. Cotton is smooth and soft material and it won't cause much friction, leaving your curls intact. Then add ghd Body Guard Heat Protectant Spray for hydration, moisture and protection.
Turn your head over and use the ghd Helios Hairdryer with the diffuser attachment to dry and enhance your natural curl.
After your hair is dried, flip it back and return your head to upright to dry the top.
Use the ghd Thin Wand to define curls and build volume where needed.
