Ensemble Presents… A night at the Hollywood

Ensemble Presents…. A night at the Hollywood is our way of working with an ensemble of friends celebrating a wide range of visual masterpieces from high brow to schlock, and everything in between.

Wednesday November 30: Ensemble presents... Breathless with guest curator Kate Sylvester

Widely regarded as one of the most influential films of all time, Jean-Luc Godard’s 1960 masterpiece stars Jean-Paul Belmondo as a dangerous criminal and Jean Seberg as his American girlfriend, and is a stunning example of French New Wave cinema.

This special screening will be introduced by Kate Sylvester.

Doors open 6.30pm, tickets $15 by clicking here or free for Ensemble Members (more info on our value-laden membership program here)

Wednesday September 28: Ensemble presents... Funny Face with guest curator Karen Walker

Think pink and join designer Karen Walker for this screening of the 1957 Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire classic Funny Face.

Fashion magazine editor Maggie Prescott (said to be based on the legendary Diana Vreeland) and jaded fashion photographer Dick Avery are trying to discover "beautiful" and "intellectual" models who can "think as well as they look", when they come across shy bookstore assistant Jo Stockton, played by Hepburn.

This special screening will be introduced by Karen Walker.

Doors open 6.30pm, tickets $15 by clicking here or free for Ensemble Members (more info on our value-laden membership program here)
